Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong 1918-2007

The founder and life president of the Genting Group,
Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, 90, died of old age on 23rd Oct 2007.
~~*~~
I do not know Uncle Lim personally,
but thats how he was known affectionately
amongst gamblers nonetheless, but to me,
he is a success story of a simple man
with a simple vision and made it happen.
~Legendary~

That weekend, my parents & I shared the same feeling
Thanks to him, we found a piece of land,
where we love to call home, and we must
pay last respect & thank him in some way.

We walk out of our house and saw
rows and rows of pick up van
ready to chaffeur visitors to Gohtong Villa

This weekend is made especially for public
The canopy & free bus ride from KL to GohtongJaya,
everything in order, somehow its very peaceful to see.
Gohtong Villa, in a sense, a neighbour.
The pick up van pass these familiar sights
where we always went for a jog....
To reach an unfamiliar territory,
this is the 2nd guardhouse from the long winding road
The flowers are a sight to behold!
I gasp the moment i walk in.....
It stretches as far as a few hundred metres!

There's so many I dont even have time to read
from as far as USA/Canada to China/Hongkong

To places nearer to home like THAILAND

And, PANDAN JAYA, Pork Noodle Stall

AND a monkey friend too.

Once we passed the 3rd guardhouse,
The canopy continues right into the private area
with settings for VIP guests and more flowers...
I put away my camera as we enter the Living Room
We bow to the centre piece
while the family members guide the visitors
to pay last respect to their late father.
Even before I walk pass the coffin,
I was slightly emo. And when I did,
I sincerely felt a loss in my heart
even though a stranger
but a person is lost
and that is a universal feeling for all
to feel the loss in a deep way...
All this in the style of Uncle Lim
~Simple~
