when i saw this news, i tot it was so ingenious,
an immediate thought that came to my head!
can't possibly implement this in Malaysia! LOL.
you know what i mean if ur Malaysian.

WORLD NEWS, FRONT PAGE.
i saw a similar but way BIGGER picture
of people queuing up below signboards
showing To-Certain-Areas of San Fransisco,
google the news, you'll read most
are located in the East Bay area.
WOW.
Due to the recent petrol price hike,
could be that the prices in the West
are even higher compared to ours in Asia
(so stop whining! was what Julian says)
Casual Carpool are informal carpools
when drivers and passengers
meet at designated locations.
These PICK - UP locations are
all located near transit routes
that provide parallel service.

Ahhhh, knowing you, you must be thinking,
what do i get if i'm the driver and sending
these STRANGERS to some place???
Apparently, drivers can use carpool lanes to
bypass the queue at the Bay Bridge tollbooths
and save $3 a day. haha!
by the way, this is an unofficial trend,
(cos no government agency monitors it)
this has produce its own culture of behavior
its yours & mine willingness.

Everyday you get to go to work in different cars!
Sedans (BUICK!!!) SUV's, sports cars (Aston Martins!)
or even er er..... LORRY, Boon Siew Motor, (lol!)
some cute scooter maybe. everyday is a surprise!
And you can always get a seat, its free
(unless ur a kind soul that will share some $$)

the array of people you will meet!
its even faster than using cigarettes to do PR!
imagine the amount of NETWORKING!
and because you're doing a good deed!
people will immediately warm towards you!
you can save time from traffic,

may even share their sandwich with you!

downside of Casual Carpool???
As passenger,
er...you cant choose your favorite radio stations!
(if you're with a driver who loves Classical Music
and you don't.....GOOD LUCK mate)
er...you can't fart in the car, (SHIT!)
er....you prbbly can't eat
ONION / GARLIC / SALTED FISH /
RELIGIOUSLY OFFENSIVE FOOD.
er...if you have certain PHOBIAS
like HOW THE CAR SMELLS (like me & mom)
you may not be able to SPRAY AIR FRESHENER.
er...you can't talk first, cos to be polite,
the driver should always initiate the talking!
and er.....you have to get down from the car,
if in case the driver 'beh song' you!
(beh song = displease)
weird drivers?? is not that bad if you actually
meet a criminal who plans to rob all 3 of you
strangers by driving to a lonely road and
assist by accomplices hiding there
