GSC - European Film Fest !!!!!!!

9th European Union Film Festival (EUFF)
13th - 23rd November

If you love international cinema,
the 9th EUFF will be a fantastic opportunity to discover
Europe's best recent productions as well as the past years award winning movies.
The movies will be screened in 3 venues in Kuala Lumpur:
at the GSC Mid Valley, at the GSC One Utama, and at the GSC Pavilion KL.
Click to check out list of movies selected for the festival

trust me, you dont have to be a film student to appreciate a foreign film,
if you are a film student, you might end up over analyzing it over coffee,
well i said foreign film, its not because its in a different language,
more like, it is not mainstream with a niche appeal,
i believe most of the people find comfort in familiar themes,
such as ones we see made in hollywood or bollywood,
but personally i think we're best inspired, and moved,
when the more contradiction there is in a movie unfamiliar to us,
we're challenge to accept how the story unfold, even though,
you have a million of questions, it gives you perspective,
it gives you ingenuity of the director and the pieces,
some will leave you hanging with a sense of uneasiness,
some will leave you feeling like on top of the world,
its the thrill of both extreme that im seeking,
and im glad i can share it with my friends,
who are also foreign film enthusiast! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WELL, of cos i cant watch all the films, due to limited time & $$$,
so what is the criteria when selecting choice of film with limited options?
Well, I usually prioritize the award winning films,
I also narrow down my list to exclude horror genre,
I read the title and synopsis, if it rings something familiar,
i may consider it, but even more so, if it rings something UNFAMILIAR,
it would prbbly be my choice of movie.
Also, exotic locations and language are one of the primary factors,
between French and Tibetan, i'd choose Tibetan
(unless the French is award winning)
sometimes a choice of film is highly dependent
on my current state of mind,
like if im craving for europe,
i'd pick films with strong european themes,
if i feel that heavy film will make me feel really bad,
i'd choose comedy over anything else,
if i feel like i need some freaky inspiration (in a good way),
i'd pick crazy titled movies, that doesnt even make sense,
or sometimes i feel like my life is so messed up,
i'd choose a zen like, simple film, easy to understand piece,
(which is pretty hard considering foreign films
binds in depth meaning in the most mundane way)
also, year of production sometimes do play a role,
but that's prbbly the least important,
finally, i look at the film poster,
if i'm intrigued, that would prbbly do the trick too,
if i really need to, i will google the review,
oh yah, and the show times,
sometimes GSC can be so mean, they show it in one cinema,
 so i have to travel between the three cinemas over 10 days,
just to catch the movies, cost & time wise its really consuming lor,
BUT IF I COULD, I'LL WATCH THEM ALLLL!!!!!!!!! :)
so far these are my list of movies... any suggestions??
