Day 2 - Calgary Zoo of Lights & Super Shy Happy New Year

Calgary Zoo is famous for its animals!
but the tickets that Scott bought was
for a different event, no animals were out,
(cos we didnt research properly)
but lots of interesting lights,
it would be fun if you have kids,
and ALSO if the weather was WARM!
im not a great photog, so bear with me!
like i said, great family outing, interesting things,
this kid is trying to bowl over giant snow bowling.
there were some hay throwing activities,
some sliding down the snow thingy,
and an indoor maze, which is great,
to escape the cold for a while!and a white polar bear walking around,
to keep you warm! (he is not bok mong-ing la)
i was trying to hold our hot chocolate,
thats why it looks kinda weird
that the bear is touching the wrong place!lolof cos, with ground events,
you will never escape from media!
this is Vibe985 - Make A Wish tree!
super popular calgary radio station,
which i listen to via online streaming in Mas,
whenever i have time & good internet connection!of cos, thats after i met Scott, i made a wish,
hahaha, its pretty feasible, i hope it'll come true!
its REALLY too cold, 2 hours walking outdoor,
to the point that fluid keep oozing out of my nose,
and this is the best & fastest way to stop it. i think.
we head to Scott's best friend's house
James & Stacey, this is their new born,
baby Sarah! only...6 months old! June baby!
their friends were here to hangout as well,
they were all in ice hockey team jerseys,
Ice Hockey = Football in Asia,
in every single bar or pub or house that u go too,
ice hockey is always on the channel,
seriously, its a BIG BIG change,
all you hear abt in north america is ice hockey!
Calgary Flames,
its like the Man Utd here in Asia.
we played some board games, and duh,
i was shy of cos, but they were super nice,
I heard a lot abt James & Stacey from Scott,
and they heard a lot abt me from Scott too!
so, its kinda like we know each other,
before we really know each other,
so it gives you a kind of understanding,
still shy, but you got something to talk abt!
and oh yeah, cheers for new years!
of cos, it took a while to talk to everyone,
(from left) Stacey, Kim & Cristina totally
made me feel welcome, and Kim was giving me shots
being a non drinker trying to keep up with a drinker,
you pretty much guess what happens next
and Scott had to deal with it at home,
with a 'pukey fei' all night long
All these props & headgear are by Stacey i suppose,
its so festive and pretty i just have to take a pic!
