I was going to login to my yahoo mail, when this featured title caught my eye, "world's friendliest countries" i wonder from what aspect are they gauging it? as i read the article, my academia side is being very academia la, i think this title is misleading, cos the more i read, the survey is really meant to gauge from western expats p.o.v. only.

Canada, Germany and Australia top a list of the countries most welcoming to expats. There, relocators have a relatively easy time befriending locals, joining a local community group and learning the local language.

INTERESTING thing is China, India and United Arab Emirates scored low overall because cultural differences from the West made integration difficult.

yeah lor,
Wonder if the Chinese, Indian and Middle-Eastern who relocated to Canada, Germany and Australia, will vote for these 3 countries.

yeah, i read this article ystr as well, well, i guess they r judging it from ease of access to public facilities and amenities and i guess in particularly, the ease of english bein used? ive been to germany b4, and i agree wif the survey, tho i was there for jz over a week
I agree that its very skewed.
There are a lot of Indian nationals expatriating all over the world for work, don't think their p.o.v were counted
