finally, home. i meant KL la....
and i came online doing non-work stuff. nice....
its the little things to enjoy, sitting here and pouring it...
it was a trip without a specific time....
just like when ur driving home from work...
every other day is the same pattern n we're lost in the familiarity...
thats exactly how specific moments are in perhentian island ...
its familiar that you dont really remember if u had lunch
or not or slept or not or walked the beach or not
because every beautiful little thing is piece as one altogether...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
this time around, heading to the island was meant
to complete an Advance Open Water Course (AOWC),
and also to spend holiday with you lor.....
out of the diving adventures offered in AOWC,
we took TWO compulsory course Deep Diving & Navigation,
the additional THREE course is up to us, we chose
Night Diving, Drift Diving and Peak Performance Buoyancy,
i know right, the first two dive sound so chun right~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we took the course with Turtle Bay Divers
very very experience dive instructor Ms. Birgit Weber
or Fraulein Birgit Weber, since she's German~~ :)
and they operate 2 dive shop, one on Long Beach,
the other on the big island, Pulau Perhentian Besar,
where we reside, learn, rest, sleep, chill, walk on corals,
and jungle trek to the other side to see our friends @ cocohut.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we stayed @ Mama's Chalet, a double bed, air cond + fan,
cold water, clean, wooden chalet and we slept with no problem
of mosquito within our room, mainly because the room is clean?
there are definitely mozzies outside the room ...but it was comfy!
We also had our meal at Mama's and Watercolours,
Mama's make delicious Roti Canai and Tom Yam,
Watercolours make delicious BananaChocshake,
fried rice, fried noodle, crisscut fries, super size mango shake
all at a very PREMIUM price...but its worth it after
a long day of diving and navigating under water with compass!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
we met Yaakub, Jono, Bree, Azwan, Aziz from the dive centre
and the boatman with that funny shrieky laugh
who swerved the speedboat and topple me over!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
budget wise, geeeassshh...how i wish i'm loaded so it never bothers!
but being very average malaysian have to save like mad,
but actually save also not enough to cover.
BIG SIGH!!!!!
AirAsia Return Air Fare = RM200
Andy/Baha Ground/Speedboat transport = RM100
Turtle Bay Divers Advance Open Water Course = RM850
Mama's Accomodation = RM240 (total 5d4n)
Meals = RM200 (crazy expensive but also because we eat a lot)
Others: water taxi, fun dive etc = RM100
total expenditure = RM1690
Although it looked like you burned 1.7K, when you broke it down, I'd say it's still pretty good.
