Malaysia - Formula 1 Qualifying in Sepang

Hottesst Race on Earth - F1 rand Prix right here in Malaysia.
I've visited the race ever since it was first held here in Sepang,Malaysia in 1999. It's a Malaysian thing, 'Malaysia Boleh' slogan - that magnet me to it, basically it means "Malaysia Can".

I love F1 because of the HYPE, its outrageously loud and sleek! It's not football, thats an entirely different planet, lol, and it's great pride to have TOP racing event held in Malaysia. Asian GP has always feels closer and has more affinity value, like Japan, Shanghai, MiddleEast and coming soon Korea in 2010. heheh!

This year, its EngSeng's maiden visit to the race, so the objective is to give the amateur a first look and we made a pact to come next year to watch the race, we cant watch it this year, cos his got golf on sunday. Anyways, we went to the Qualifying round on Saturday, which basically, means less crowd more space to check out the place!

EngSeng first step into the Sepang Circuit.

FANS = news value material. u see all kinds of interesting ppl, and this is only qualifying, wait till you see the RACE DAY crowd.

K1 seating, you can see the starting grid and the first corner, one of the most enjoyable viewing area. sadly, we're OUTSIDE.

BUT, we have much more important business to do.

BUYING OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE, thats one of the MAIN objective to travel all the way here! EngSeng found his Toyota booth.

I found the FERARRI BOOTH. Did not buy anything because they dont sell stuff embroidered with anything KIMI. BUT i found this Finnish guy who's wearing Ferarri colored shirt with Kimi design on it, EngSeng push me to go chase that guy, and as luck has it he's got one extra shirt but we can only get it on RACE day, fair enough, i'd come back all the way for that. lets leave it for the next post.

Though i MUST admit, i prefer McLarens to Ferrari. EVERY damn thing that McLaren has is so much more suave than Ferarri. Maybe its the corporate HugoBoss look that i prefer over the sporty Puma. I really wish Kimi would stay with McLarens, Kimi, i still think you look better in sleek white,silver and black. RED is just not you. :(

AND, i still prefer all the merchandise sold in McLarens, omg. its soooo awesome. but sadly i CANT buy it, bcos im supporting Kimi. Not Lewis Hamilton, even though this rookie is good, but it has always been Kimi for me. Check this out, McLarens branding are superb. you dont see a single sign of Kimi in Ferarri.

Honestly i cant remember most of the antiques collection,

i just think the colors are so much more groovy that what we have now, its like, sky blue, navy green, ditch yellow, apple red, cream white, brown bark, compared to our metallic stuff, we ARE in a boring generation.

Favorite snack, ice cream + bread. bet you have not tried it before. get it from a Malaysian ice cream seller for only RM2. it can be a lot cheaper, bcos this is F1, everything's sky rocketed!
