First we borrowed the camera from kind Uncle Lee (a khmer chinese who owns a camera shop in Siem Reap, photos on the way)
We head to the big market in town, we were sooo EXCITED cos its a LOCAL market, like those your mom goes to shop on a Sunday morning type of market!
We went for another shopping spree, and this time it is serious business, we shop like tailormade clothes, khmer designed cloths, books and more snacks!
We had breakfast, and as always, like i said, the UNPLANNED ROUTE ARE ALWAYS THE MOST SURPRISING AND REWARDING EXPERIENCE.
Cos out of no where, we just AGREE to go 2 temples out of town, and its gonna take us one full hour and a half to reach the first, and another hour more to reach the second, and we need to pay extra $$$ to our Tuk Tuk driver, but what the heck, we're here in the city of temples. ^_^
So our Tuk Tuk driver load up his car with 2 bottles of 1.5ltr petrol, which we think is reallly expensive, its like already 40% of the cost we're paying him (;_;)
AN HOUR TUK TUK RIDE, the scenery is really peaceful though.
We were pretty 'shooked' after the ride for an hour, esp. Shu who isnt really long journey travelling person. seen here READY TO PUKE ANYTIME!
But BENG MELEA, is totally worth this ride.
this is the INTERIOR, most places in Beng Melea look like this, crumbled, piles of centuries old rocks and lots of indiana jones adventure and i absolutely love it more, cos the film "2 brothers" was also filmed here....omg.
this used to be a library floating on the water,
connected by bridges where we're seating on now.
OK, this is really scary, the 3 guide had to help me like TOGETHER.
Yin feels right at home, she's a Taurus and she's born in the year of Pig.
There's a lot of cows and buffaloes and pigs that we see here..REALLY.
Another journey, this time thru dirt road for one hour,
We reach Banteay Srei, one of the most 'feminine' site we've seen so far.
its pink/red tone were the result of the soft sandstone.
and literally, every single space was carved, and legend has it,
it was "carved by women"

We visited the Landmine Museum, and its not a HUGE museum, its just 4 small sized house, 0n each East West North South, with a centre. We were pretty much alone, with 2 other Koreans who was there with their guide. because it is so quiet, the tragedy of Khmer's past swallows you and quiet tears will fall the moment you stepped into a room full with weapons made by human to destroy human....
We played with some kids there, who doesnt speak a word of english,
we gave them pink plasticine this time,
Shu made a cute cow and present it to one of the kids,
he was thrilled, and wouldnt squashed it at all :)
We were also quite please to know, the owner of the Landmine Museum, Aki Ra was actually our tuk tuk driver's younger brother! you can see him beamed with pride, and the fact that the family profession seems to depend on tourism and saving their own country from being destruct, just gives you the sense of their strong survival will....
We took abt an hour to head back to the city,
this time we enter from the back of Angkor Wat,
a pathway less trodden by tourists apparently!
