our journey to the north begins with a gourmet tea,
Chai Tea from Tim Horton's
prbbly more famous than Starbucks,
for its fresh coffee brewed every 20mins.
check out that truck, its rock&roll fantasy!
imagine the interior with proper bed & multimedia system!

lots of road names in canada origin from natives,
like Deerfoot, Blackfoot, and Ponoka,
asylum for the mentally challenged, like our Tg Rambutan.
"hey, so they change the IKEA font in winter?
like u know, winter design? with all the snow on it?"
Scott looked at me for a second and started laughing,
"no baby, that's real snow on top of the words!"
Fei goes "Oh......really... nice....."
& big light bulb flash on top of her head.
anyway, we check into West Edmonton Mall Inn
(directly opposite the mall) the girl at the reception,
advice us to just walk over the mall instead of the
hassle of driving, and boy.....EDMONTON is 3 hours
NORTH of Calgary, can you imagine the cold???
its at least minus20!!!~~ madness!!!
and so the famous West Edmonton Mall, WEM,
and the Ice Skating Rink & Herbie's dream
to become the best Ice Hockey player for Flames
starts here i guess..... lol~`
we head to the Waterpark, we got a good deal
from the place we're staying, $69 includes
2 Waterpark tickets
2 Sea Lion performance
2 Marine Underwaterworld
2 Miniature Golf
2 breakfast voucher!
that's REAL SUN, but its still REAL COLD!
BUNGEE JUMP! see a guy doing his thang der?
and thats the stairs we have to walk all the way up
to get on the water slides of various levels,
we manage to get onto like 4 - 5 rides,
before we call it a day, bcos we're hungry!
this is how a ENTRY level, or INTERMEDIATE level,
its a damn long ride, it feels like forever in that BLUE tube,
you basically start with feeling super NERVOUS,
but like 30seconds of the same feeling,
you get over it, and you start to feel really YAWNED,
and the final 5 seconds is where you go
"Ahhhhh"
and close your mouth before the water splash into ur face!
this is my favorite, its new its Tropic Thunder!
you shoot out from that SHORT & STEEP TUBE,
into this Wishing Well-like bowl thing !!!!
and gradually reach the core and you either
go HEAD down or LEGS down,
i recommend the LEGS down, cos its a DEEP DROP
into the DEEP POOL!!!!better be good at swimming
this is the ULTIMATE challenge, its called the
Sky Screamer, oh yeah, i actually nearly
BACKED OUT, yeah, i was sitting on top of it,
and Scott already went wheeee on the other slide,
and i PUSH myself back further and for a
splitsecond i didnt want to go down,
imagine sitting there, feeling like u will fall
OUT OF THE SLIDE because your body
IS NOT TOUCHING the slide!!!! ((#_#)
but i did it anyhow, and it was the scariest thing,
it was over in less than 10 seconds.
things people can do to make you scream, haha!
next we head to the underwater marine park,
this is south african penguin, so funny,
when they saw Herbie they keep coming to
poke at the window, maybe they wanna eat Herbie!
these are the most interesting alligators ever!
LOOK AT THEM, pretending to not move,
they're floating predators, instead of chasing,
THEY WAIT FOR VICTIMS to come to them.
check out their floating stance, they are REAL!!!
they look so fascinating, i was there, squatting down
watching and wondering if they'll move if i
throw some leaves into the water?
that evening, i finally get to meet up with my
Beijing Olympic Volunteers from Edmonton!
they're both sisters, and they were both in Beijing,
Fiona is the girl sitting in the middle,
she volunteered in the Baseball arena,
also a very close friend of Tania,
who happens to be my fellow Malaysian friend,
Olivia, im sure you've seen Olivia, we both
volunteered at the tennis venue together!
and we hang out lots together in Beijing,
we were yak yaking all evening, more like,
trying to squeeze as much questions & updates,
like long lost friend, so much to catch up!
in this Old Spaghetti Factory place with yummy pasta.
to the mall for dinner with us,
they're like the sweetest sister on earth,
both really kind, funny, gentle, humble
and just about everything like a
girl next door, yeah, thats the perfect word!
Fiona is into textile & design, while
Olivia is into architentural studies,
they're both very much geared towards
the aesthetic arena, and yes, they're both
younger than me!~ :)
