Twillight, its a vampire needs love too world.

just some thoughts about the movie
when i saw this movie promo picture,
i couldnt decide if i would watch the movie or not.
i crave for vampire films, NOT BECAUSE of the scary side,
but for the myth, the dark secrets, the unknown beauty,
i think vampires are the SCARIEST thing ever but also,
probably the most POSH & ELEGANT ever.
this film dangerously fall into that tween film category,
but its also trying to claim a sense of aesthetic,
(check out the pretty cast and posters)
its an effort that you dont really want to brush off,
plus with all the hype, and 50-50 reviews,
you just gotta watch it to decide i guess,
i like it cos its a no brainer and explored feelings
with the skillful/typical hollywood touches of romance.
you know like, suddenl saved by that special person
in an unbelivable way! you know the works la
i watched twilight like exactly ONE WEEK AGO,
i hope to read the book as well in order to be able to compare,
they always say its difficult for a film to do the book justice,
but even tho its not faithful to the book,
it still can be a pretty damn nice film like Slumdog Millionaire
(which was based/inspired by the book Q&A)
the hero of twillight is i must admit,
good looking in a vampirey way,
he is indeed not someone u can see on the street everyday,
maybe im not a teeny weeny girl anymore,
im just so unfazed by his deep eyes look to the heroine,
(i gave him the benefit of the doubt that he prbbly can act,
its just that the character is muk muk one)
certain scenes i felt it lacks a magnetic touch to it,
and to a point so cheesy, but thank god, he is tall & built,
so it doesnt make him sound too much like a sissy saying
....for the life of me i cant remember any right now....
(i think it sure can melt a girls heart if u read it from the book!)
though i honestly couldnt decide if the heroine role was
meant to be MATURE or PLAIN STUBBORN?
her confrontation with her father abt leaving the house
(for his own good, cos that evil vampire is aftering her)
has quiet a mature script unfolding compared to most,
though i think she is just plain stubborn because thats the
backbone that they're trying to inject into her character,
so she doesnt look like a flimsy wimsy damsel in distress,
like this picture, if u dont watch the film,
its not THAT romantic. like she's sien diao.
for me, one of the most memorable scenes
are definitely the one at the carpark (its in the trailer),
where she was on the other side, and he the other,
some other guy was asking her to go to the prom,
but she was at that moment literally in this other world,
where the vampire across the road dominates all her senses,
silencing her reality and absorb her into his world,
and all of a sudden it seems they are all alone & together,
that was amazing. but too short. sigh.
