for one more day

i picked out mitch albom's 'for one more day'
to read on the train.
penny and I are heading to a small town in klang,
it's been 4 - 5 years since we were there.
how ironic can it be....or maybe what a coincidence it is
to finish the book from the start of the journey till the time i return,
strictly speaking i only spent 2 hours to finish the book which is the total journey back and forth from kl - klang.
and the most ghostly feeling was in the story itself,
someone was given one more day to collect the puzzles that were never solved and to try to put things back on track,
and most absurdly similar to our trip this time,
we were given one more day to recollect our memories and get back on track with people we haven't seen for ages!~
5 years may seem short to some, but the kid in the picture below, snap us back into reality cos the last time i saw him, he was only 4 years old, and today he is 9 years old !
well i guess, we pick up where we left off,
years can really scare you sometimes,
so much has change physically...
those that were plump has shrink in size,
those that were skinny has put on some flesh,
and i wonder has our friendship change in anyway?
it was like taking a test when we see them,
we cant even remember their names!
it was such a worrying thought,
but the moment we saw everyone
we instantenously recognize the warmest smile ever....
and so we talk and talk from sunset till midnight...
and woke up together to the same sunrise...
why didnt we make the effort to catch up sooner?
we were probably too caught up with our new life
after we finish college, university...
in a blink of an eye
we were suddenly seperated
and in another instance
we're suddenly united
p.s. GREEN is not a coincidence
p.p.s. the last 4 lines in the book 'for one more day', gives me goosebumps, i was walking alone on a quiet sunday morning from the train station towards my house, i just stop in the middle of the road, the warm sun was suddenly chilly, i had to re-read the sentences again, and mygod...the writer has prbbly achived the effect he wanted the readers to react upon completing everything!~

Green is my favorite colour. ^_^

I happened to meet many old friends last week when I paid a visit to my old art school (for some personal matters). We caught up and encouraged me to come more often. I bump into one of my favorite instructors who lives across the street from my home, and we agreed when his summer school has finished, we shall go to a nearby cafe for coffee and chats.

no way! green is my favorite colour too!!!!!
i eat green apple just cos its green and i do feel like the happiest person on earth to be able to enjoy that!!

i kinda like pink cos it looks peachy/healthy.

i like black cos i dont need to think what to wear with it, and it goes with everything. honestly.

i like purple, its just eccentricly romantic.

i love red, its so loud.

Green represents nature, and most of my favourite fruits and veggies are green in colours: pears, avacados, asparagus, gai lan, brocollis, peas, spinach and many else...

My hometown in Vancouver is surrounded by rain forests and it is so GREEN, it's like Malaysia with much praises on your rain forests, the only difference is that mine is temperate and yours is tropical.

I used to tell my American friends that I like green colour, and they said "of course, because you're into business so you should like the green back," meaning "money" becacause US dollar bills used to be totally green in printing. Right now, it has changed and added more vibrant red colour into the dull US bills.

Another problem with green colours is wearing a green hat, as I used to have one, and my HK Chinese friends teased me for being cheated by a girlfriend or wife, which is what "wears a green hat" in Cantonese, meaning a guy being cheated by a woman. Right now, I can wear a green hat since I am a free bird. I would stop wearing a green hat when I have a girlfriend. LOL (However, one of my favorite hats is actually olive green, which was an irreplaceable headwear from my first salmon fishing trip in 2000, whereas I caught a 31 lbs chinook in 20 minutes!!!)

I also like blue colour because of its masculine representation. Most of my clothings are in blue but lately I prefer grey and black. But for more vibrant, I would wear light green, sharp red, and pink aloha shirts. I always keep my bohemian character, it is my natural self.

With green and blue combined, I sense the forestry and nautical themes bond together. I can recall an old Taiwanese song,

Purple is another colur in my muse, I often have purple in my paintings. Also, I like plum and eggplant.

My art school is Emily Carr institute. You can refer here:

My old car was also green too, it was a dark green Volkswagen Cabrio. I miss it....

My current car is silver, very sharp and elegant.

Maybe my next one would be green again.... preferably olive green if I get a SUV. A bright green if I want a Beetle or a Mini; a British racing green if I get a sport car. -_-
