Counting Macau & HK

FFFuiiyoh.... Travel Planning?????
acknowledging my math rational
equivalent to a 12 year old (or less....)
i started doing this long-ish excel calculation
ever since i booked AirAsia to Macau in 2007!
i totally am taking serious steps of PRECAUTION
every single detail i can list it out, i list it.
every single cost that i can calculate, i calculate it.
this is because, im NOT travelling alone,
im travelling with my brother and
getting myself into trouble is one thing,
getting myself AND my bro into trouble is another!
what kinda trouble?????
OVERSPENDING FOR SHOPPING LOR!!!!!!
besides its not easy to save money okay. (=_=)
and this is like his Bday present.....you say leh.....
must ensure he is happy one ge mah!!!~
all my references for the calculation were GOOGLED.
currently im flipping through the stacks of mags
from Alex C, who took it from HK for me.
i think we're pretty safe with doughs,
just a little bit sad that i can't meet my target
to bring more cash to splurge....
due to unforeseen circumstances. SIGH.
nevertheless, I WILL MAKE SURE ITS FUN FILLED!

Taipei - 3 & 4th

Tonight, Janice wants to bring me to ShiLin area,
so she can do some shopping for her babies & colleagues babies.
I can't wait, my last trip to ShiLin was brief, i didnt even enjoyed it!
Everywhere theres..... SMELLY TOUFU. it smells like shit.
but there are really people enjoying it. Jan brought me to this famous stall, "Zhong Cheng Hao"
to eat fried clams with eggg.. "Oh Jian"
and thats oily beef soup... okay bah...
not like its the best food, maybe just not my taste.
Herbie was thirsty,
so i bought him an icey-lime-drink for NTD35.
He drank a gulp, went "Ahhhhh...." and pass it back to me.
(=_=)........... these things dont come in baby size,
and i have to drink it all for him, so bloated!!!!
Final day, final meetings, all three are new contacts,
very nervous.... but i should enjoy it, its my last day here!
This is the view from the hotel lift to lobby.
after my first meeting in that godforsaken FAR place in Neihu,
I took a cab back to the city, cost me NTD300+
to reach my next destination, so i ask the cab guy,
to drop me at a place where i can eat,
and later walk to my client's office.
so here i am, in my formal office wear,
caught in the busy morning market,
which smells of fish and fresh produce...... pheewww!
then i saw the sign "Pork Rice" heheheheheheh!!!!
the main dish is the pork rice in the middle 'Zu Lu Fan'
with side veges like toufu and vege, the portion is really big.
But i finish it all in an hour's time.... so full!
how to meet client??? sure want to sleep!!!
the meeting was a success, and when i say bye bye to them,
i feel a deep relieve, i made it all!!! i think i did great!!!
cos we all speak the same language!!~ hahaha...
went back to the hotel to shower before i head out to meet Ed.
It was POURING like crazy, Taipei's weather is weird!!!
So we had BBQ + Steamboat, The double storey outlet is directly,
right across the ShiLin Train Station,
this meal cost us both NTD1,000 (@_@)!
and i was sooooooooooo angry that Ed paid for me!!!!!
p.s. below is a really yummy mushroom, dont think
we have it malaysia due to the weather difference....!!!
That's Edmund, looking like a Taipei citizen himself!
hahahahahahahahahahaha, i bought some stuff from Shilin,
then, because i really want to check out where he studies,
where he lives, and where he hangs out,
we took a train to his territory, lol~~ it was an amazing experience,
the train is double the size of Putra LRT in width,
its double the brightness of Putra LRT,
it smells cleaner, and they even have a section
for ladies to travel in, during late night journeys,
Train from ShiLin Station to switch at Taipei Station,
onto a different route towards Taipei Xian (county??)
cost me only NTD35!!!! Compared to me taking a cab
to meet my client in the same area, cost me NTD200!!
what a FFFFuuuuugeee difference! (@_@)
this is Ed's bicycle which he use to cycle to school,
ooooooooh, i've never cycle to school before!
i want i want i want!! but because it was till raining,
i didnt manage to go to his homey, or near the school,
and its getting late, so i better go, i wanted to take the train,
by myself, and see how well i can do...... but first, thank you Edmund!
And i took a train that i gauge is near my hotel,
when i get down....... i still need to take a cab to my hotel,
and it cost me NTD100..... so i guess im not that streetsmart,
hahahahahahahaa, but i like this great city with great helpful people!

Taipei - 2

TODAY, second day,
I woke up and feel brave enough to attend
my own meetings alone in the morning.
So I took the nice yellow cab to Neihu Area,
its like Putrajaya, or Silicon Valley,
its away from town, clot with hi-tech companies.
And I arrange to meet Janice for lunch near the hotel afters
Pigs Legs Rice + Oily Piggy Stuff + Steam Rice!
Yummy, for only NTD50~ thats about RM5-6!
I explore the city alone when Janice had meetings all afternoon.
So I took Herbie along to check out the three places
i've been wanting to visit.... my first stop
Guo Fu Ji Nian Guan - Chiang Kai Shiek's MemorialFrom the Memorial, we can see the famous Tower 101.
We decided to check out the Memorial first & WALK THERE.
I was bored after 5mins of looking at the description.
with all due respect its not because its history,
well maybe 30% is due to that, (^_^)
but mostly because its full of traditional chinese words!
thats really straining to my eyes, as i have to first
figure it out in simplified chinese,
and then understand the meaning.
and their use of grammar is really, posh. (=_=)
so i head straight to the souvenir shop to look for
magnets for mom, and vodka shot glass for scott.
upon exit i enter another hall........
is this the famous Guard Exchange Ceremony???
so we WALK walk walk walk...following the TALL TOWER
i seriously dont have a map.... and there's no road sign,
so just walk loh...its not that lonely....quite busy.
i only have like 3hours before meeting Janice again,
so i walk pretty fast actually.... so sweaty!!!!
Herbie trying to do his stunts.
Hanging on to his dear life. we were tired from walking,
it was really gray the weather.
its not blue sky at all. its a CITY color.
so we sit on the gray CITY chairs,
while Herbie sleeps with the....City Sleeping Monk.
We saw the Tower from close up, and its a shopping mall!
its tempting, but im not interested in shopping just yet.
cos i have a mission! i still want to go visit
Zhong Zheng Ji Nian Tang on Ren Ai Road
(right across my client's office i remember)
i have to say this is my favorite spot.
there were ppl practicing Fa Lun Kong,
but they didnt come talk to me or anything,
so i just snap away with my camera,i would spend half a day here if i could
there's a beautiful oriental garden...
lots of flowers, spring's just coming to an end,
and some mini oriental bridges...
and long walkways in this huge ground
the steps reminds me off Batu Caves,
i lost count when i reach the top,
about a 100 plus steps maybe.
stupid day to wear a skirt really.
but wearing pants would be too warm
i cant decide. anyway.......
the BABY LION made me SMILE
LOOK~
i wonder whats that Thai-looking building across the street?
or maybe Buddhist influence architecture... main entrance....into another host of political exhibitions
*yawnsssss.....

this caught my attention when I walk down the steps!
i love national geographic! this is an EARTH DAY exhibition.
so apt for Herbie!!!!!~
I took a cab to a famous local bookshop,
Cheng Pin Shu Dian, suppose to be near my hotel.
its like our MPH / Popular (its local...right?)
to look for Ashin Mayday's book, but its still expensive!
Taipei have a strong book-buying crowd,
its like 5pm in the evening, and its packed!
a bookshop, packed????!!! wah lao...
Afters, instead of taking a cab to my hotel,
i choose to walk again..... this time,
i seriously, LOST MY WAY. (@_@)
but it was good to be lost in a busy city,
there's sooooo many things to see,
then i pandai pandai walk into the small lanes
WRONG MOVE??? DANGEROUS????
nope, cos i found this shop ... it drove me crazy!!!!
it would drive Ariel or Brina or Felice crazy too!
its full of....... WINDBELLS & MUSICAL BOXES!!!!!!!!!!
i am a biiigggg sucker for these, musical boxes!
cos my mom has a ballerina one, its so ancient,
i remember i was 6 years old, i love it so much,
i keep playing the music to make the ballerina dance,
and i spoil it. =( and i never had one. NEVER.i was so scared to even walked closer to the shop,
cos i will want to rob the shop or steal something,
i want it so much.... can u see that Merry Go Round?
there's another Ferris Wheel version too!!
but i went in anyway, it smell of sweet wood.
the shop is call "Happiness Heard"
Ting Jian Xing Fu. I have the map.
I will return to the same shop ONE DAY
when I am rich enough to afford these....
and right across the street is another Family Mart,
so I went in to look for more Mayday Sarsi bottles....
i didnt find any... instead i found.... TA-DA....
Hello Kitty's Noodle & FISHBALL?????????

Taipei - 1

Janice flips through MAS Airlines in-flight shopping catalogue
to show me this!!!!! and we both laughed!!!! RM39 for Herbie!
I'm like... "can't they take a BETTER picture of Herbie???"
To watch my very own first in flight sales, in flight,
is AWESOME!!!!
this is definitely better than........ a lot of things!!!!
Its the BWF World Championship 07, Men Singles, FINALS.
And we touched down Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei
I feel a very different sensation, like a whole new world.
Even tho i've been here before, somehow everything,
from who im travelling with, to the purpose of this visit,
is all new.
View from our room in Tun Hwa Road,
we're very near Taipei Little Giant Egg, - Xiao Ju Dan-
After our morning appointment, we head out for lunch.
Yong Kang Jie, very near Ren Ai Road.
I finally saw the city of Taipei, feels like for the first time.
seriously, awash with a new sense to see these.
like a composition of a variety of juxtaposition
we thought there were only FOUR "si" SiewLongPao
but there were TEN "shi" SiewLongPao, lol...
We walk out of the Chinese restaurant looking for dessert,
This totally attracts our attention,
Janice loves fruits, i love colors,
and so i bought a Pineapple + Coconut drink,
freshly brewed, yeah, right behind the counters!!!
After our afternoon meetings, we head back to the hotel,
we passed by some political centres,
look at the amount of news channel vans waiting!
after a quick shower, preggie mommy Janice,
was eager to show me around, cos sooner or later,
i'll have to be independent for business trips,
so first, she brings me to..... Wu Fen Pu (5 cents Shops)WE'RE HERE TO SHOP!~ lol, love it!
well, if we had dinner first, it'd be too late.
she advice me to get a bag for my catalogues,
i know i know, i took for granted cos i didnt bring
an extra bag to put all my catalogues and dvds....
We head to Xi Men Ding (West Gate??) for dinner.
Awesome food, makes me sooo happy!!!
then we walk down the street to check out the shops.to be honest with you,
i was soooo nervous before this trip,
when Yip asked me "looking forward to the food?"
knowing me and my major appetite, i said
"NOoooo!!! I'm so nervous I cant eat!!"
cos i didnt know what or where to start,
now i feel good cos everything was quite smooth
and totally am grateful that janice's is here.
its not that scary after all, if i do my preparations well
<>this is the bag.
this is the dress.
this is the pair of shoe.
this is the bottle of Mayday Sarsi.
